DESCRIPTION:

Saving elephants from extinction one beer at a time! What better reason to drink beer at the Brooklyn Brewery?

Join Wild Tomorrow Fund at the Brooklyn Brewery in Williamsburg, NYC on Thursday, 25th February for a fun-filled evening of beer, art and wildlife conservation.

Enjoy unlimited beer from 7.30pm until last call at 10pm. Bar food will be served.

We’ll also be selling conservation art and special Wild Tomorrow Fund wildlife t-shirts and beer glasses to help our cause.

Step aboard for a winter adventure in New York Harbor! Look for harbor seals and learn about the surprisingly diverse winter birds of New York City, including long-tailed ducks, geese, common loons, and sandpipers on this environment themed New York harbor cruise.

Round out the winter season and warm up with a cocktail prepared by one of the many talented mixologists from celebrated local, national and international spirit brands. It’s your chance to try out the many spirit offerings making their debut in the city, as well as the trusty and true — in one evening, under one roof. EVENT: Just Food Conference

LOCATION:  525 W 120th St, New York, NY, United States

DESCRIPTION:

On Sunday, March 13th, the annual Just Food Conference will bring together more than 800 community organizers, CSA members, local food advocates, urban and rural farmers, and entrepreneurs for a full day of workshops and discussions focused on building a more equitable food movement. Just Food’s Conference programming covers local and national food policy issues, approaches to urban agriculture, culinary and food preservation techniques, and strategies to mobilize communities in order to increase access to fresh, locally grown food. We are thrilled to welcome the six farmers of Rise & Root Farm, who will deliver this year’s Keynote Address.

The 2016 Just Food Conference will be held Sunday, March 13th, in partnership with the Laurie M. Tisch Center for Food, Education & Policy at Teachers College, Columbia University.
