The 56th Annual Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles last night. The Grammy Awards is one of the most coveted “Best Dressed” nights of the awards season outside of the Oscars. But unfortunately, this red carpet was underwhelming to say the least. I watched celebrities after celebrities walk the red carpet and no one really stood out as being amazingly forked. In my opinion no one took any good risks fashion or beauty wise. To top it all off, Rihanna who usually raises the stakes was not in attendance.

To the starlets credit however I must say that the majority of them looked nice. Just nice.

DAFT PUNK

I just love Daft Punk! These guys were suited up to the T in Yves Saint-Laurent. Their sharp look along with the robot helmets worked for me. I know it may be weird for most but I loved it. The only down side to this however was that they weren’t able to give any acceptance speeches for all the awards they won.

TAYLOR SWIFT

56th GRAMMY Awards - Red Carpet

Taylor Swift walked the red carpet in a glistening Gucci gown. This was a beautiful look for her. The dress was classy and fit her like a glove.

CIARA

56th GRAMMY Awards - Red Carpet

Ciara wore a Pucci gown which showed off her baby bump and glowing skin. She is carrying this pregnancy beautifully.

TAMAR BRAXTON

Tamar Braxton looked beautiful in a fire-red Michael Costello number. Red is my favorite color and it complimented her skin tone and blond bob perfectly.

BEYONCE

56th GRAMMY Awards - Press Room

Bey shocked us all on stage in a scandalous bodysuit showing off her derrière but her look on the carpet felt a little dated. She wore a couture gown by Michael Costello. The gown in and of itself was beautiful however many of you compared her entire look to a dress and haircut Rihanna rocked back in 2010. Let’s face it, the lace & naked skin look is passé and very JLo.

PINK

Pink looked nice in a bright Johanna Johnson gown. The details on the dress helped elevate the otherwise very simple style. I absolutely love her light hair color though.

KATY PERRY

A music note dress by Valentino Couture seemed appropriate for the Grammy’s, I guess. Katy Perry looked good in it and I liked the ethereal flow of it.

CHRISETTE MICHELE

Chrisette Michele wore a pantsuit to walk the red carpet. I loved the colors and the pattern of the suit. Michele landed herself on a few “worst dressed” lists as well but I think it’s a matter of perspective. I didn’t care for the white shoes so much but her natural haircut and bright lip saved the day!

RITA ORA

56th GRAMMY Awards - Arrivals

Rita Ora’s red carpet look had a lot of potential. It fell a little short for me but the online universe seemed to like it. I wish the Lanvin dress was a tad shorter to complement her height and youthfulness more.

KELLY OSBORNE

Kelly Obsborne walked the red carpet in ‘Black Sabbath fashion’ wearing a black Badgley Mischka gown. The dress suit her figure perfectly.

CHRISSY TEIGEN

Chrissy Teigen wore a beautiful Johanna Johnson gown to walk the red carpet. It fit her perfectly and complement her skin tone well. She kept it light in the accessories department sporting her best accessory yet: John Legend.
