This thin and lightweight formula promises to glide onto your lips smoothly and leave a SUPER intense pigment-rich colour with a bold, ultra matte look. It’s very long wearing and completely kiss proof! – it’s all true!

ABOUT THE BRAND:

Name: Colour Pop

Philosophy:

“We take the phrase “if you can dream it, you can do it” to a whole new level and specialize in making killer makeup in every shade imaginable at prices everyone can afford. We think that whole barrier between fancy and affordable is absolute nonsense. That’s why all of our products have luxury formulas at prices that won’t break the bank.”

Ultra Matte Lipsticks are:

  • Gluten-Free
  • Vegan (except Tulle shade which I was not aware of until after my purchase)
  • Cruelty-Free
  • Only tested on humans
  • Made in Los Angeles

MY REVIEW: I’m obsessed!! I can’t get enough of my Ultra Matte lipsticks from Colour Pop. I definitely recommend you try a few (or many) shades of your own, here’s why:

Performance: as promised, these lippies are extremely pigmented and a little bit goes a long way. In addition, they are: eat, drink and kiss proof!

Texture: I’ll go straight to the point: the consistency is too liquid. If you are not careful when handling the tubes they may leak all over your makeup table and / or in your bag. Trust me, I found this out the hard way. On the other hand, they do glide on smoothly. Lastly, the formula can be quite drying after an hour or two so wear lip balm before applying.

Smell: some of the shades don’t have a smell, others have a slightly artificial smell but it’s not very strong.

Skintones: there are so many differents shades to choose from ideal for every skin tone. You can see how the colors I selected look on me, here.

I will be purchasing more colors from Colour Pop although I wish the formula was slightly thicker. It is still a great product and worth contending with the texture.

GIVE IT A TRY? YES, I’ll give it a try! Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lipstick
