Here are some key items to keep with you as you face fashion week in the concrete jungles of New York, London, Milan, Paris, Tokyo and South Africa.  Go well my B.W.A.C. Belles.

Glossy lipsLip Gloss – Tinted lip gloss, if you are only going to use one make up item this is it, it moisturizes while adding brightness and finished look to your face.

Our faves: Burt’s Bees tinted lip gloss, Benetint Lip Balm SPF 15 from Benefit.

Boscia

Blotting Sheets – These handy little sheets eliminate shine while preserving the appearance of your makeup.  No need for napkins or constant re-application of powder when you have these in your bag.

Our faves: Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens, Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets.  If you can’t spend the cash and find yourself in a bathroom with toilet seat covers use an unused one, of course, for the same effect at $0 cost.

Tide to go

Tide to-go cleaning pen – For those of us like me who make little messes when we eat and still love to wear white.  This little handy pen erases our little messes and leaves clothes looking back to normal.  This is a must for all of those yummy lunches between shows, and cocktail parties at the end of each evening.

NOTE: Tide to-go pens work best on food and beverage stains. For other stains sometimes a hand dryer and good old soap and water solve the problem really well, if you wash it out immediately.  Beware however,  if you apply the pen to a stain right before stepping out into the sun, you run the risk of ending up with an even worse discoloration in that spot. To avoid this, be sure to dab the stain dry after applying the pen so no solution remains on your clothes.

Lotion

Travel size bottle lotion –  Carry a travel size lotion in your purse at all times. We wash our hands quite a bit during the day and this can dry out our hands and give them that ashen appearance and that is never a sexy look.

Our faves: Bath and Body Works travel size lotion in Country Chic, Burt’s Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Crème, Clarins Hand and Nail cream.

Toddler brushToddler Brush – My hairdresser first introduced me to this as a way to help tame my little fly aways during a quick touch up of my hair.  I find that it works best when your hair is in a straight style or pulled back.  It is small, easy to pack and won’t break your hair! YEAH, we love that.  You can get one for $1-3 at your local beauty store.

Water

Bottle of water – As discussed in our Fashion Week Beauty Checklist WATER IS GOOD and staying hydrated as you dash from show to show is necessary.  We love to drink filtered water in a reusable bottle.
