7_insightful_thoughts

It’s Monday belles, time for us to get motivated and start our week strong. Here are 7 insightful thoughts to inspire you this week. Enjoy!

1. IF YOU DON’T LIKE SOMETHING, CHANGE IT. IF YOU CAN’T CHANGE IT, CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK ABOUT IT.

Regardless of what we believe or see on social media posts no one has an ideal life. There is no such thing as a perfect spouse, child, neighborhood or career. Each of us go through our own challenges and are faced with difficult situations. We just need to deal with it because our reactions decide whether they will make or break us.

2. LEARN TO LOVE YOURSELF FIRST, INSTEAD OF LOVING THE IDEA OF OTHER PEOPLE LOVING YOU.

We all want to be loved and are subject to engaging in dangerous behavior to acquire that love. We put on fake personalities, go on ridiculous weight loss programs, give in to peer pressure, change our college majors, and more, all in the hopes of earning someone else’s love and approval. But you need to realize that people are impossible to please, and see that you are hurting yourself in the process. Learn to love yourself enough to be yourself no matter what.

3. TRYING TO BE SOMEONE ELSE IS A WASTE OF THE PERSON YOU ARE.

This concept is so important to grasp. Everyone is unique and most useful to the world in their uniqueness.  You need to follow your own path knowing that you are the best person to fulfill your purpose because you were tailor-made for it. You will never be as good at being someone else as the person you are trying to copy.

4. NO MATTER HOW GOOD OR BAD YOU HAVE IT, WAKE UP EACH DAY THANKFUL FOR YOUR LIFE. SOMEONE SOMEWHERE ELSE IS DESPERATELY FIGHTING FOR THEIRS.

Yes! Life is a gift. It should never be taken for granted. It can be beautiful one day and tragic the next. And regardless of the power we think we have, we do not control the day or time of our deaths. So each day let’s be grateful for the opportunity we have to be alive, make mistakes, and start over because we simply don’t know when or how it will all end.

5. LEARN TO APPRECIATE THE THINGS YOU HAVE BEFORE TIME FORCES YOU TO APPRECIATE THE THINGS YOU ONCE HAD.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda… Too often we take things for granted but life just has a way of taking things away from us when we do. I think fate does this to keep us humble and grateful. What do you think?

6. BURN THE CANDLES, USE THE NICE SHEETS, WEAR THE FANCY LINGERIE. DON’T SAVE IT FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION; TODAY IS SPECIAL.

The older you get the more you realize how unpredictable and fragile life can be. So live your life like each day is your last and don’t save anything for special occasions. I don’t.

7. IT’S A GOOD DAY TO HAVE A GOOD DAY!
