WTW: Color block handbags
Etienne Aigner, Diane von Furstenberg, Anya Hindmarch
We have absolutely fallen for color block bags. This trend is so hot and will be around for a while so don’t be afraid to go for it!

If you want to be noticed, this handbag style is for you. It commands attention but should never compete with your outfit. To pull this off we suggest you stick to a solid color or tiny print outfit. Stay in the same color family and you are good to go. But if you feel more adventurous you can try to pair your color block bag with contrasting hues or an animal print like we did here.

To show you how to rock this trend, we paired the color block handbags with peplum tops and fitted bottoms. Peplums are super hot this season as well. So, look out for a post from us on how to get your peplum on too. Now back to the today’s looks.

In the first outfit, we chose to use the same colors found on the bag. We took the purple from the purse’s hardware detail and repeated it onto the top. We also popped the yellow from the bag on the nails. As you can see we only used solid color clothing but added a bit of badass to the outfit with a neutral pair of snake-skin peep toe heels making for a classy yet slightly daring look.

For the second look, we chose to walk on the wild side by taking a neutral color block bag and cranking up the heat with an animal print top, skinny jeans and a pair of killer heels. We also added a touch of color with a yellow belt. This belt is an unexpected detail and can be worn on top of the peplum seam to draw attention to the waist which will make it look tiny.
