Ambrose and I had an interesting chat before the Osklen fashion show, front row chronicles style.

FWAC: Hi June! Tell me what brings you here today other than fabulous fashion? What’s your relationship with the designer? I’m sure you get invited to so many shows!

JA: We do!!! I didn’t come last year, but you’re always looking for new designers to kind of really breakout with, and I think this is one of those designers that’s under the radar, like Honor. There are all these great emerging designers that people don’t know. These are the kind of shows I love. I’m also a fan of this designer too quietly, but I don’t wanna be quiet about it anymore, that’s why I’m here!

FWAC: I see your mini-me is not here today.

JA: She’s in school. Everyone thinks that she doesn’t go to school. Everyone is like “Oh, your child is in school.” I’m like yeah she is in school! But school got out at 3pm yesterday. So she’s in school. She’s in school till 6pm today, actually.

F.W.A.C.: So does she enjoy coming to the shows?

J.A.: She loves [it]. She’s a ham. If you’ve seen her recently she’s out of control. She has her own page on WireImage. She’s out of control.

F.W.A.C.: As some parents do their jobs, they don’t normally involve their children. What made you decide to involve your daughter?

J.A.: You know, she loves fashion and I am really blessed to have a career that I can expose her to in a really positive way. I think fashion week is great, especially seeing it in Lincoln center. Because we come here, we go to the ballet at Lincoln Center. So her coming here to see fashion in this environment, she relates it to art. So it’s good.

F.W.A.C.: I created a blog called Fashion With A Conscience, so I have to ask you. Do you have a cause that is dear to your heart?

J.A.: That’s great. Yes I do: Autism Cares.

Autism Cares is a consortiums of Autism organizations who united their forces to support people with autism during natural disasters and other catastrophic life events.
