STATUS: REVIEW COMPLETED

New favorite skincare regimen alert! Osea Malibu is a skincare brand based in California. They craft a wide variety of skincare and body products. Their formulas are as healthy as they are powerful.  When testing new skincare, I prefer using a full skincare regimen from the same brand. I avoid mixing other brands in, whenever possible. This way, each brand’s unique formulas a chance to shine. I have been using Osea Malibu skincare products consistently for the past few months and I am a believer.

Today, I am reviewing Osea Malibu’s Ocean Cleansing Mudd which I used in conjunction with other Osea products.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Ocean Cleansing Mudd

This exfoliating, oil-balancing cleanser deeply purifies and thoroughly decongests oily and blemished skin. A potent blend of USDA Certified Organic Algae and Cypress oil removes surface impurities and visibly balances blemishes. Tea Tree, Peppermint, and Rosemary provide a cooling sensation and leave skin feeling refreshed, energized, and clarified.

PRODUCT PROMISES:

The Ocean Cleansing Mudd promises to clarify, exfoliate, reduce redness and deeply cleanse pores.

ABOUT THE BRAND:

Osea Malibu is a family-owned company, founded over 20 years ago by Jenefer Palmer. Osea Malibu was created to offer a better alternative to skincare. Their mission? Provide natural and non-toxic skincare products good for the body and the environment. Osea Malibu products are free of toxins and synthetic ingredients such as parabens, petrochemicals, and sulfates. In fact, Palmer’s formulas are certified organic, contain bioavailable seaweed and are infused with pure steam-distilled and cold pressed essential oils. Their ingredients are sustainably sourced and products cruelty-free and vegan.

As pioneers in the green beauty industry, Osea Malibu prides itself on being the first company to sign, in 2002, “Compact for Safe Cosmetics”. This initiative was started by the Environmental Working Group, an organization that holds companies accountable to ensure that their products are “free of chemicals that are known or strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects.”

MY REVIEW:

If you follow me on social media, you’ve probably noticed that my skin has significantly improved since the beginning of the year. This drastic change is due in part to my consistent use of an Osea Malibu skincare regimen including their Ocean Cleansing Mudd as well as a toner, serums and moisturizer from the brand. I can personally confirm that their products are not only healthy but high-performance as well.

How I use it

The Ocean Cleansing Mudd is a staple in my nighttime skincare routine. I only use it once a day since I clean my face with water in morning which is more than enough for my skin. I double-cleanse at night, however, to remove the dirt from the day and my makeup.  I start with coconut oil and a makeup remover wipe followed by the Ocean Cleansing Mudd. Based on how my skin is feeling, I either apply the cleanser with my fingers or my Clarisonic. This powerful product leaves my skin thoroughly cleansed without stripping it from its natural moisture. In addition, the essential oils in the formula have a cooling effect which is refreshing.

To complete my nighttime skincare routine, I follow the Ocean Cleansing Mudd with Osea Malibu’s Sea Minerals Mist, Essential Corrective Complex, Hyaluronic Sea Serum and Blemish Balm. My skin is in heaven and ready for bed!
