The advice I shared is obviously based on how I do it and my personal experience. I\u2019m letting you in on my process so you can pick what works best for you and your specific needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Keep Daily Content Organic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, let’s talk about content you might want to post every single day. I’m talking about Insta and Facebook Stories for the most part. Getting on social media on a daily basis can be challenging with a busy schedule so if your time is limited, keep your daily content organic – don\u2019t over produce it. Use it as an opportunity to connect with your audience and for them to get to know you in a lo-fi way.\u00a0Let them into your world, as much as you want, focusing on the things you are doing and those that fit into your niche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Create a Content Bank <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’ve ever scrambled for something to post day of, a content bank is what you need! Keeping a constant stream of original pictures and video in your funnel can save you a lot of time. Of course, it requires planning but it is time well invested. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For my Instagram feed posts, I like to keep a content bank to pull from as needed. I do post the occasional iPhone pic but mostly work with photographers. It’s important to shoot with people you like and who understand your brand so take the time to try a few. It may take several tries to find the right creative but it will be worth it in the end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To effectively create a content bank, plan to shoot multiple looks at one time whether fashion, beauty, food or lifestyle. Be intentional about your locations, outfit changes and poses so you can get as much use out of the photos as possible. Then, pull from your content bank as needed.\u00a0It’s important to note that once I get the photos from the photographers they usually require very little editing, if any, which really helps me save time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Schedule Posts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another great way to save a lot time is preparing and scheduling content ahead of time. I use this for my Instagram feed photos \/ videos and captions. I like the ability to plan in advance and preview what my feed will look like overall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can set your scheduling app to publish posts on its own if you have a business account but I personally don\u2019t use this feature. I prefer reviewing my content right before it goes live!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Prepare & Batch Videos<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to videos, preparation is everything because they are more involved than most other pieces of content. When I shoot videos, I batch a few and record them back to back. Before pressing record, however, I recommend scheduling time to draft and craft ideas. If necessary write down bullet points, set up your camera and shoot. Then, edit the footage based on your desired publishing calendar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Plan Ahead When Traveling<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love this one because I love traveling! When I’m in a new place, for work or leisure, I make sure to shoot with a local photographer. I prefer locals because they know the best locations and don’t require travel. You can find photographers to work with on Instagram (geo tags and hashtags) or through referrals. I make sure I do these things<\/a> before every shoot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
