Plaid is a major trend this fall. I wanted to debut it early in my style book because plaid has always been one of my favorite patterns. One of the first things I have sewn was a red and blue plaid apron for home economics class in elementary school. So plaid holds a special place in my heart. I also wore a plaid uniform all through high school and somehow I didn’t get tired of it.<\/p>\n

Plaid is not an easy motif to wear, however, but if you know the tricks you too can pull it off effortlessly without looking like a school girl. Whenever I wear plaid I anchor the look with a solid color. In this case, I chose to wear a top, handbag and peep toe \u00c2\u00a0booties in solid black. I did this to balance the 2 plaid pieces I wore. Had I only worn one plaid item I could have introduced another solid color to the look to add dimension.<\/p>\n

DAY 2: MAD ABOUT PLAID<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2nd day of fashion week was a light day for me. I was attending a few conferences namely, celebrity stylist to C\u00e9line Dion, Annie Horth at LaSalle College and Grace Kelly at the McCord Museum. I had to move from place to place so I wanted my look to be avant-garde yet not too outlandish for the streets.<\/p>\n
