RIP The Runway<\/a> delivered a beautiful night of sights and sounds as promised with a belly dancing performance,\u00c2\u00a0a boutique featuring the work of local designers, \u00c2\u00a0several entertainers, tons of giveaways and of course a multi-designer fashion show.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The men took the stage first with\u00c2\u00a0a tailored suits collection paired with Prostate Cancer Canada’s signature blue tie. \u00c2\u00a0They looked dapper and set the tone for the night’s festivities. Also showing their latest collections were Carmen Popescu, Christopher Exorphe, Donna Bella, Metys, Le Ch\u00c3\u00a2teau, 5th Avenue and Creations Youd to only name a few. Metys presented her first menswear collection. “Why not put men in dresses?”<\/em> she thought! Her pieces weren’t actual dresses however but tunics with a Southeast Asian influence. Popescu launched her manly offering as well: NemraC Style. Her collection was inspired by urban life and geometry. She mixed a variety of materials such as suede, faux-leather and jersey in a geometric print. Her customer? The man who likes to look good, be comfortable and stand out from the crowd. “I believe when you wear clothes they not only have to be fashionable but they also have to be comfortable”<\/em> she said. \u00c2\u00a0Exorphe charmed the patrons with a collection of prostate cancer blue and white bowties in leather and houndstooth wool. When he was approached to lend his love for fashion to this cause he did not hesitate.\u00c2\u00a0“The bowtie is a manly accessory and prostate cancer is a disease that affects men so I wanted to participate in raising awareness for this cause and put my products out there as well.” <\/em>said the new designer.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Although the event was dedicated to our male counterparts Fashion For A Cause did not forget\u00c2\u00a0about the women.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong>Donna Bella, Italy sent a sexy collection of leather sheath dresses, slouchy sweaters and leopard print pieces down the runway. Creations Youd showed us that men and women should wear ties not as accessories but as jewelry. \u00c2\u00a0Popescu delivered an assortment of cashmere and tweed coats inspired by non-verbal communication and faithful to the RIP the Runway flavor there was of course a swimsuit collection.<\/p>\n

The Karnak Shriners was filled with precious souls and $3,555 was raised for Prostate Cancer.<\/p>\n
