“No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t trying.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Nowadays, people want to be rich, successful and sexy with as little effort as possible. That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s why get rich and slim quick gimmicks are so attractive. The average Joe doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want to invest time, money and effort into anything anymore.<\/p>\n

I was watching a weight loss program on TLC the other day and this woman, we will call her Joyce, spent over 15 years smoking and eating unhealthy foods. As a result she had digestive problems, respiratory issues and she was obese. Her coach on the show put her on a strict regimen which included: juicing, exercise and no more smoking. After a few days, Joyce stepped on\u00c2\u00a0the scale and was disappointed to see that she had only lost a few pounds. I was appalled. I could not understand how she expected to undo 15 years worth of damage in just a few days. Joyce relapsed and started smoking and eating unhealthy again. This is the mentality of most people today. They have unrealistic expectations and easily lose sight of their goals when facing obstacles.<\/p>\n

On the other end of the spectrum however, there is a small cluster of determined folks who relentlessly go after what they want. These “goal diggers”, as I like to call them, diligently spend time, money and energy to reach their destination. It may take them a few years and they may have to drive up a few hills along the way but they eventually make it. And when they do those who didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t bother to try are still right where they started or maybe even more far gone.<\/p>\n

Joyce eventually found the courage to follow her coach\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s advice. Thanks to the program she dropped two dress sizes and quit smoking for good. She felt better\u00c2\u00a0and her husband could not take his eyes off of her.<\/p>\n

Everyone who has ever accomplished anything great in life, worked at it for years before reaping the fruit of their labor because as we all know\u00c2\u00a0there is no such thing as an over night success. Therefore if you are part of this minority of people who wake up everyday to sow into your dreams, no matter how little it is then you are on the right track. Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t give up because you are way ahead of the majority who isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even trying.<\/p>\n
