“Giving up doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t always mean you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re weak, sometimes it means you are strong enough and smart enough to let go and move on.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Many motivational quotes tell us to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153keep going\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153never ever give up\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. \u00c2\u00a0I, myself, am guilty of posting several of them. I often encourage people to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153stick with it\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, whatever \u00e2\u20ac\u0153it\u00e2\u20ac\u009d might be. But today, I want to tell you to heed this type of advice because it does not apply to everything. \u00c2\u00a0Everyone’s life is different and although motivational quotes can be helpful they must be applied with wisdom.<\/p>\n

Take relationships as an example. I read a quote on this subject a while back that said: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Every relationship goes through hell, only real relationships get through it.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em> I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know who said it first but I do know that it is all over the Internet and is being repeated and read by millions. On the surface, it is a really nice quote and can be helpful to couples who may be going through a rough patch and need to stick it out. But this quote doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t take into consideration abusive relationships that no one should be encouraged to stay in.<\/p>\n

The same goes for everything in life, sometimes you need to push yourself over the hump but you also need to have enough wherewithal to know when it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time to let go and let God.\u00c2\u00a0 I pray you learn the difference today.<\/p>\n
