The mood was for celebration last Thursday in New York City as Mercedes Benz Fashion Week kicked off with fashion shows, street style sightings and parties. Old Navy hosted a star studded shindig to welcome Joe Zee as their new Style Ambassador for fall. The intimate soiree was held at Location 05 in Manhattan and gathered the creme de la creme. The guest list included celebrity stylist June Ambrose, Jay Emanuel and supermodel Hilary Rhoda.
One guest in particular created quite a stir upon her arrival and mingling in the crowd. Katie Holmes who stopped by on her way to the airport got her groove on to Gwen Stefani’s “If I was a rich girl” while getting not one but two temporary tattoos on her neck and arm. She was wearing an Old Navy Long Sleeved Poplin Shirt and paired it with her own Acme jeans and Isabel Marant heels. Of course, I caught her look and moves on video.
As for the rest of us mere mortals, we too got the VIP treatment. We were greeted with drinks, a yummy candy bar and fun Old Navy gifts: colorful scarves, tote bags, and printed t-shirts saying: Holy Chic, J’adore, C’est la vie, … a street style bloggers dream!
In addition to the gifts and tattoos the night’s pleasantries included making your own eyeshadow palette and taking an unlimited amount of selfies at the “Fall in Love” photo booth. What a great night!
